As part of Ford’s commitment to electrifying our range, the Ford Kuga is available in three electrified vehicle options: the Ford Kuga EcoBlue Mild Hybrid; the Ford Kuga Full Hybrid; or the Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid.
Ford’s advanced hybrid technology is designed to deliver a cleaner, quieter, more sophisticated approach to SUV driving.
Equally as sophisticated, the Ford Kuga EcoBlue diesel (FWD and AWD) and EcoBoost petrol offer advanced non-hybrid engine options. The choice is yours.

It straddles the line between sports and elegance perfectly, forcing other road users to take a second look. For the first time, Ford’s LED Adaptive Front Lighting System with predictive curve light is available.
Vignale models stand out as the range-topper with exclusive bumpers, chrome trim, twin tailpipes and optional 20” alloys. Fancy something even sportier? ST-Line models wear a sports styling kit with side skirts, a large rear spoiler, a rear diffuser and black roof rails. The Ford Kuga is offered in 12-colours for personalisation.
Freedom to just drive
Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control keeps you travelling at the speed you choose. If the built-in RADAR sensor detects a vehicle ahead, it slows your vehicle to maintain a safe distance. Then, once the road is clear, the system automatically accelerates back up to the chosen speed. Add that to the Lane Keeping System, which helps prevent unintentional drifts over the lines, and those long journeys become even more enjoyable.
Wherever the destination, the Ford Kuga Plug-in Hybrid uses two sources of power to get you there more efficiently. An advanced electric powertrain lets you make shorter trips of up to 35miles on zero emissions and can recharge anywhere you have access to mains power. For longer journeys, the conventional combustion engine ensures you can go as far as you need to, using power split technology to help recharge the Hybrid battery as you drive. While energy captured through regenerative braking also helps to extend your electric range even further.
Ford Kuga’s advanced Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technology combines a battery-powered electric motor with a 2.5-litre Duratec petrol engine. The hybrid battery can be recharged at home or public charging stations. Energy recaptured while braking also helps charge the battery as you drive. Fully charged, the Ford Kuga PHEV can drive up to 35miles†† on electric power alone, and a total hybrid driving range of up to 465miles.
The Ford Kuga’s EcoBlue Hybrid uses a mild hybrid system that includes an electric motor with a self-charging 48-volt battery. Regenerative braking recaptures energy usually wasted when you apply the brakes. The hybrid SUV uses that energy to assist the 2.0-litre diesel engine, reducing emissions and improving fuel economy.
Available from late 2020, the self-charging Ford Kuga Hybrid combines a highly efficient 2.5-litre Duratec engine with a battery-powered electric motor and optional AWD. As with the EcoBlue Hybrid, the system, recaptures energy usually lost while decelerating. But the larger battery can store more power to further improve fuel economy and even drive short distances on electric power alone.
