HOW IT WORKS?

You simply exchange all of your mobility allowance to lease the vehicle of your choice. You choose the vehicle you want at a price that works for you, and payments are deducted from your allowance every four weeks, then paid directly to Motability by your benefit payment agency.

Your car lease is over three years.

AM I ELIGIBLE FOR THE MOTABILITY SCHEME?

Checking your eligibility for Motability is easy. Whether you choose to drive or nominate a carer or family member, and you receive any of the following allowances with at least 12 months remaining you could qualify.

These are:

• Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
• Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

You can also apply on behalf of a child aged three or older, as long as they are entitled to the Higher Mobility component of DLA. If you're not sure whether you're eligible to join the Motability Scheme, our friendly team is on hand to answer any questions.

We understand customers may feel that because their disability is not visible, the scheme may not apply to them. This is not the case, the scheme is fully inclusive, regardless of the type of disability.
